Acaster Malbis youngster Charlie Taylor has taken a big step on the road to football stardom by signing a three-year professional contract with Leeds United.
The 17-year-old former Tadcaster Grammar School pupil has completed his first year as a scholar with the Championship club and was a near ever-present with the under-18s this season.
The left-back also made nine appearances in the reserves, becoming a regular during the second half of the campaign.
United boss Simon Grayson said: “Charlie is another player we think has a bright future if he keeps his head down and works hard. He has a good left foot, good energy and good potential. Hopefully this will give him a boost as well because it shows what we think of him.”
