Leeds United head into tomorrow’s npower Championship game at Ipswich Town on a rediscovered wave of momentum, writes Martin Durrant.

Having battled to a 2-2 draw at West Ham last weekend, they beat Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers 2-1 in midweek in the Carling Cup, with two stunning strikes from Honduran forward Ramon Nunez.

“The league is our bread and butter and what we will be judged on,” said manager Simon Grayson.

“Looking forward to Saturday we want to keep the momentum going from the Hull and West Ham performance and we want to build on that, and the Doncaster result.”

After a largely indifferent start to the season, United sit 13th, and will want to continue their current push.

Still absent are strikers Luciano Becchio and Davide Somma, while tough-tackling midfielder Michael Brown is rated doubtful.

Ipswich Town will have former Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard available, after the Tigers terminated his contract.

The 32-year-old schemer has signed a two-year deal with the Tractor Boys.

They sit in 20th place and are looking for a rapid rise in the table after significant summer investment in new signings Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, who are both available for tomorrow’s clash.
