ON the road travels could get Leeds United back on a festive winning track, insisted goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.
The defeat at home to Reading a week ago left the Whites licking their wounds at just one npower Championship conquest from six Elland Road outings since October 1.
That is a far cry from the previous fortress-type sequence of just a single defeat in more than a year.
But while insisting United were not “panicking” at home, Longeran said the fixture double that sends Leeds to games at Derby County and Barnsley may prove pivotal to a return to winning form to pep up the push for promotion.
Said Lonergan: “We have got Derby and Barnsley away which are both winnable games and maybe this is what we need.”
