MATTHEW Kilgallon will learn later on today if he has won his appeal against the red card he picked up in the 2-1 defeat by Leicester City on Tuesday night.
In the past, Leeds United have been reluctant to enter appeals because of the cost and the chance a ban might be increased, but caretaker manager John Carver felt so strongly that York-born defender Kilgallon's sending off was unjustified that he immediately decided to go ahead.
If the appeal fails, Kilgallon will miss three games, starting with Saturday's visit to Luton, with Hayden Foxe likely to replace him.
