ACOMB continued their unbeaten run in the York Conservative Clubs' Faber Shield Billiards League with a 6-0 whitewash of Heworth.
Keith Watkinson should have got Heworth off to a good start, but missed an in-off red to leave John Ashwell a pot red to win 150-147.
From then on, it was all downhill for Heworth as Dan Potter (30 break) beat Gary Rogers (47, 39, 30 breaks) 150-8 as Rogers' -165 handicap proved too much against Potter's solid play.
Richard Lillie got revenge over Mark Winskill, winning 150-63, then Paul Holmes was made to work hard before just pipping Brian Birch 150-144.
Mick Borg (31 break) retained his unbeaten record with a comfortable 150-55 victory over Darren Clark.
Fulford won 5-1 against Bootham.
Fulford lost the first game as Matt Smith ran out a 150-109 winner over Wayne Puleston, but from then on Fulford took control.
Sam Wass succesful 150-139 in a close match with Paul Mahoney, then Alan Reed beat Ian Robinson 150-111.
This was followed by Jim Lee winning 150-121 over Alf Appleby, and Bob Plant completed the win for Fulford with a 150-138 scoreline against Tim Fillingham.
Acomb are now three points ahead of Fulford in the league table, with both Heworth and Bootham struggling for points.
In the individual player of the year standings, Borg leads the way having won all five of his matches, but he is closely pursued by Reed and Holmes, who have each won four out of five matches.
