Belgian Ben Hermans was victorious in the third stage of the inaugural Tour de Yorkshire as Team Sky's Lars Petter Nordhaug clinched overall victory.
BMC Racing's Hermans attacked in the last ten kilometres of today's 167km stage from Wakefield to Leeds, building a lead on the peloton as the race approached the finish in Leeds' Roundhay Park.
He won the stage by nine seconds, but Nordhaug stayed with the main group to take the general classification by 11 seconds from BMC's Samuel Sanchez and Thomas Voeckler, of Europcar.
