RISING York boxing star Danny "The Tasmanian Devil" Holmes made it three wins out of three in his professional career as he beat tough Tamworth journeyman Matt Seawright.
The light welterweight was fighting on a bill at Leeds United’s Elland Road Pavilion, a six-fight card promoted by Mark Bateson, and won each of the six rounds to triumph 60-54 on points.
Coach and manager Glenn Banks said of his York Masters Boxing Club protege: "Danny put on a boxing masterclass with speed and skill to win every round.
"I was very pleased with his performance. It was a good learning fight for Danny as he continues his development into the pro ranks.
"Danny would like to thank the York support who were in attendance and the continued support of sponsor York Building Services."
Holmes will next box in March in a show at the Energise Centre in Acomb.
