York Phoenix Ladies beat North Riding Eagles 3-0 in the final of the Yorkshire Volleyball Association Plate Cup final in Leeds.
Having done the double over the Eagles in the league, Phoenix were intent on making it a hat-trick of victories and they made a superb start, winning the opening set 25-12.
The second set went to Phoenix, 25-16, and they claimed the third by the same scoreline after being 8-3 down.
The Phoenix men went down 3-2 to Leeds side, but they have secured their Premier League status for next season.
Leeds won the match thanks to 15-11 victory in the final set, but wins over York and Barnsley and a walkover against Menwith Hill sealed their top flight place.
