A York boccia team claimed fourth place in the National Pan Disability Boccia League Finals at Nottingham Trent University.
The team, named The Shambles, represented First York Boccia at the event having qualified by winning their Yorkshire boccia league.
After a good start, beating teams from the South West and Sunderland, they were beaten in the semi-finals by a strong team from the South East.
They were then beaten into fourth place by Camboccia Cannons, from the East region.
The Shambles team included captain Claire Edwards, Karl Mercer, Peter Shepherd and Mark Mason.
First York Boccia hold their club evenings at New Earswick Indoor Bowls Club, Huntington Road, on Thursdays between 7pm and 8.30pm.
New members are welcome to attend.
