TEAM Jorvik fielded 11 swimmers in Rotherham Metro’s A/B grade meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield to mark the start of the short course season.

First on the blocks was Joseph Senior, who posted a personal best in the 100 metres individual medley to gain a silver medal.

The Nozedar brothers added to the squad’s success. Max Nozedar claimed a speeding ticket in the 50m butterfly, finishing a full second in front of his closest rival.

A total of 31 personal best times were achieved and 21 medals won by Team Jorvik.

Coach Jon Beardsley said: “The team performed amazingly well and we look set for our target of the winter Yorkshire Championships next month.”

The Jorvik results were: Joseph Senior, six pbs – gold in the 50m butterfly, silver 100m IM and 100m butterfly, bronze 50m and 100m freestyle.

Harry Nozedar, four pbs – gold 100m breaststroke and 50m butterfly, silver 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

Rhiannon Wood, three pbs – gold 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle, silver 50m freestyle.

Zak Moorcroft, four pbs – silver 50m backstroke, bronze 100m backstroke.

Esme Littlewood, three pbs – bronze 100m backstroke and 100m IM.

Jordan Littlewood, three pbs – gold 100m butterfly, bronze 100m breaststroke.

Max Nozedar, three pbs – speeding ticket 50m butterfly, bronze 100m backstroke.

Georgia Kemp, two pbs – bronze 50m breaststroke.

Imogen Wood, four pbs – silver 50m freestyle.
