ACTIVE York, the city’s sport and active leisure partnership, is relaunching its community forums next Wednesday, January 22.
The community forums are open to all voluntary and community sports clubs and groups in York and are an opportunity to network and share ideas.
The forum is taking place in the Pitchside Bar at York City’s Bootham Crescent home at 7pm and the agenda includes advice from Stuart Martel, sports editor at The Press, on how to get your sports club in to the pages of The Press.
Other speakers will suggest ideas on how to get your club involved in events throughout 2014.
Vice chair of Active York, Keith Morris, said: “This is a great opportunity for the sports clubs and groups of York to get together to share ideas about what works for their club, how to raise the profile of their club and to hear from others about how to maximise their success in 2014.
“Active York is re-launching the community forums to provide support and guidance to the voluntary sporting community in York.”
Active York is the city’s sport and active leisure partnership and is working to encourage people to be more active more often in York.
The community forum is the first of many events and initiatives that Active York will be running over the next few months in what is a big year of sport for the city.
