Four-timer thrill for Rob MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Rob Guilfoyle struck the first four goals as York Schoolboy under-13s enjoyed a 5-1 victory over Spen Valley.
Danny Allinson joined Guilfoyle on the scoresheet during a convincing triumph.
Early on, Charlie Ward shot just wide, while Guilfoyle and Joe Crosby also forced good saves.
Wingers Dom Jackson and Charlie Jebson King, meanwhile, were supplying dangerous crosses and the latter provided a defence-splitting pass for Guilfoyle to open the scoring by rounding the keeper and slotting the ball home.
Following a free-kick, Guilfoyle pounced for his second and then completed his hat-trick following good work by Allinson.
Good work from Nick Hutton and Ward resulted in Guilfoyle claiming his fourth goal of the match.
In the second half, an early corner was headed over the bar by Joe Hickey but, on 40 minutes, Spen Valley reduced the deficit and York keeper Harry Griffiths was also forced into a fine save.
Allinson, though, picked the ball up in midfield and fired in a 25-yard drive and Ward almost added a sixth when his shot was saved after Jebson King and Crosby had combined.
