TOP athletes Lee Whiteley and James Denny led the way as St Oswald’s Primary School pupils staged a sponsored fitness circuit.
Paralympic sprinter Whitely and Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning diver Denny visited the Fulford-based school as part of the Sports for Schools initiative.
As well as leading the fitness circuit, the two athletes took part in an assembly, answering questions from the youngsters.
Ryan Waterfall-Smith, PE coordinator at St Oswald’s, said the majority of the money raised would go towards improving sports equipment at the school.
