THE trophy cabinet at Joseph Rowntree School has been hugely swelled by their netball teams.
The Under-15 ‘B’ side were league champions while the U15 ‘A’ outfit were runners-up in the York and District tournament. They only missed out on winning the league after losing to Bootham.
Both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ U13s teams enjoyed excellent seasons. The ‘A’s were runners-up in the York and District tournament but both teams won their respective leagues having been undefeated throughout the season.
The U12s were tournament winners after overcoming Manor 2-1 in the final.
Joseph Rowntree’s U19s team were crowned inter area champions at Harrogate’s Ashville College.
After easily easing off Hambleton, Richmond and Scarborough, they beat Harrogate Craven by two goals to claim victory. Their team was: Lizzy Pulleyn, Amy Storey, Abbie King, Meg Kane, Chloe Schofield, Molly Plews, Emily Mason.

U13 ‘B’ league winners: Holly Lockwood, Georgia Clay, Abbir Lavers, Chloe Nunn, Rachel Vernon, Abbie King, Hannah Burns.
Under 12 ‘B’ winners: Heidi Fletcher, Kayleigh Wells, Eve Hutton, Lauren Slade, Holly Inch, Rachel Hopwood, Meg Blewitt.
