THORPE United Under-16s were held to a 2-2 draw at Yorkshire Amateur in their final game in division one of the Garforth Junior Football League.
Thorpe had the lion’s share of possession and should have taken an early lead, but Ben Clowes saw his effort cleared off the line.
Amateur took the lead when Thorpe failed to clear a corner and the ball was drilled beyond stand-in keeper Richard Buckthorpe.
A strong run from Corey Littlefield created the leveller, the same player finishing after Szymon Czubik combined with David Melling.
Czubik put the ball over from close range and Amateur then took the lead just before half-time when a dangerous free-kick was headed past Buckthorpe.
Thorpe started strongly in the second half and man of the match Ben Clowes played in Czubik to level the scores.
