JUNIORS from Old Priory Judo Club won eight medals at a competition in Gainsborough.
The 13 York-based youngsters won two gold medals, two silvers and four bronzes at the event.
In the under-8 boys’ section, Liam Molloy won silver, while there was a bronze apiece for Thomas Johnston and Victor Almeida in the U12s.
Eliana Soma claimed gold in the U12 girls’ competition, while the club’s U10 boys’ contingent earned three medals.
There was gold for Sebastiano Soma and bronze for both Amos Lund and Nicholas Bell, while Cameron Rochester-Tillott and Freddie Hargreaves also took part.
In the U16 boys, Ewan Dever-Smith won silver in a section that also included club-mates Keir Coomer, Joe Readman and Dominic Dawson.
A club spokesman said: “All the children that took part did very well and it was great to see some new members going to their first competition.”
