COACHES and players at Pocklington Cricket Club are celebrating after four players were invited to play for East Yorkshire representative teams.
Tom Kirby has been selected to play in the Under-12s team and Ted Baty, Harry Jackson and Oliver Spicer have been chosen for the U11s.
Club chairman, and U9s coach, Andy Inns said: “The lads have all done exceptionally well. I’m particularly proud of the fact that Pocklington has the same number of boys in the U11s team as some of the much bigger clubs around.”
Junior coaching takes place at the ground in Burnby Lane, between 6.15pm and 7.45pm on Thursday evenings and all are welcome.
The U15s are coached by Simon Baty, the U13s by David Nuttall and Jeremy Jackson, the U11s by Jonny Sumner and the U9s by Inns.
For more information about playing in the junior or senior sections of the club, phone Inns on 07790 243703.
