TEENAGER Georgia Cutt is on tour with the England Students rugby league squad.
The 17-year-old Huntington School sixth-former was a member of the squad that flew out to Hungary this week for national duty.
England are due to take on the Hungarian women’s team, while also taking part in a nines tournament.
The youngster was one of 90 students to attend trials in Nottingham and Cutt was one of 38 selected for a second trial in Liverpool, where she was ranked in the top group for fitness.
Shane Daniel, Huntington head coach, said: “Georgia is a fantastic example of sporting achievement.
“She started playing tag rugby at Sand Hutton Primary School, playing all the York City Knights festivals.
“At Huntington School, she began playing contact rugby and was instrumental in the school team’s success, culminating in Huntington winning the area final in Year 10 to become the best school team in the North of England.”
Cutt was recently shortlisted for the Young Female Sportsperson of the Year accolade at the Active York Sports Awards.
