HOSTS Millthorpe School have been crowned York and Selby under-15s netball champions.
The York school triumphed over ten other schools to win the ‘A’ team competition, while St Peter’s won the ‘B’ team trophy.
In the ‘A’ event, Millthorpe opened up with a 6-3 victory over Huntington.
They followed that with an 8-0 success against Queen Margaret’s School and Bootham were then despatched 11-2.
The hosts confirmed their section win with an 11-4 win over Joseph Rowntree.
Millthorpe beat All Saints’ 5-1 in the last four, booking a meeting with St Peter’s, who beat Joseph Rowntree 7-4 in the other semi.
Millthorpe beat St Peter’s 7-3 in the ‘A’ final, while St Peter’s edged out Joseph Rowntree in the ‘B’ event.
