NORTH Yorkshire tennis aces William Spencer and Sean Evans are celebrating success in the Middlesbrough Tennis Summer Open Under-16 Doubles Championship.
The David Lloyd York team-mates beat leading Teesside players Joshua Coulthard and Andrew Daniels in straight sets in the final, 6-4 6-1.
The Middlesbrough Summer Open is an important LTA Grade 3 Event and attracts players from across Britain. This year’s event saw players from as far away as Devon entering.
Spencer, who also plays for Malton Tennis Club, and Evans, of Fulford Tennis Club, both train at David Lloyd and are an established doubles couple on the Yorkshire scene.
Both players are currently ranked in the top 20 U16s in Yorkshire.
