YORK City Baths Club’s 14-strong squad made a splash at the Doncaster Dartes’ Minster Graded Meet.
The York contingent came away with a resounding 40 personal bests, two first place finishes, five seconds, six third, two fourths, five fifths and a sixth place, plus 19 speeding tickets.
The winners were Amy Durrant, in the 50 metres breaststroke, and Amelia Browne, in the 100m individual medley.
Jack Mayfield, Meghan Scadding and Annabel Gibbs all claimed second places in the 50m breaststroke, with Robert Fox getting second in the 50m freestyle and Emma Gibbs second in the 100m individual medley.
Third place medals were taken home by Olivia Hilt (50m backstroke), Amy Durrant and Elise Langan (50m breaststroke and butterfly) and Sophie Brown (50m butterfly).
Hannah Baker and Jack Mayfield were fourth in their 50m freestyle races, while three fifth places went to Sophie Brown and one to Alex and Meghan Scadding, plus a sixth place to Alex Scadding.
Speeding tickets, for youngsters who swam faster than the cut-off time, were awarded to Alex Scadding, Tessa and Olivia Hilt, Neola Thorpe, Jack Mayfield, Elise Langan, Sophie Brown, Amelia Browne, Amy Durrant and Annabel and Emma Gibbs.
