CITY of York Athletics Club duo Rachel White and Alice Linaker are top of the pile.
The team-mates top the rankings for under-13s girls after the first meeting of the West Yorkshire Track and Field League at York’s Huntington Stadium.
White won the 70 metres hurdles and 80m sprint with new personal best times and came second in the shot putt.
Linaker won the high jump and came second in the 70m hurdles and 800m. White is aiming to go one better than last year, when she was second in the West Yorkshire championship, while this is Linaker’s first year in the competition.
There are five more meetings at tracks in Wakefield and Cleckheaton in the league competition, which finishes with the championships in September.
