Bootham Junior School topped the 26th annual junior school netball tournament at the Ethel Ward playing fields in Haxby.
They pipped Haxby’s Ralph Butterfield School (Black) by a single point.
The competition, organised by Val Kennedy and Haxby Netball Club, is organised for local primary schools, or schools with links to the club.
Presenting the trophy to Bootham Junior School’s captain, Imogen Schofield, was England umpire Sarah Watts, far right, who participated in the tournament 23 years ago while a pupil at Ralph Butterfield School.
The other teams participating were Ralph Butterfield School (Jade), Wigginton Primary School (Blue), Wigginton Primary School (Red) and New Earswick Primary School.
