DOMINIC SHREAD toppled Tom Craddock to win the under-18s boys’ singles title at the York and District Junior Tennis Tournament.
Shread, who plays for Poppleton and York Tennis Clubs, beat Fulford ace Craddock 6-2 at St Peter’s School in York.
The U16s boys crown went to Heworth’s Oliver Hicks after his 6-1 triumph over club-mate Oliver Headlam-Morley.
In the U14s final, Wigginton player Sam Hardy-Mayo was a 6-4 winner over Poppleton member Matthew Stephenson.
Tom Loten was the clear winner of the U12 title, the Dunnington TC youngster beating Poppleton rival Robbie Greenall 6-1 in the final.
In the girls’ U18s final, Dunnington Tennis Club player Emma Loten whitewashed St Peter’s School pupil Chloe Lister 6-0.
The U16s championship was won by St Peter’s pupil Rebbeca Widdicombe. She beat Dunnington player Catriona Williams 6-0.
U14s’ winner Olivia Shread, of York Tennis Club, enjoyed a 6-2 success in the final against Poppleton’s Lauren Caley.
Poppleton TC youngster Ellie Cayley was the U12s’ winner, beating Dunnington’s Sarah Granville 7-5.
