FIVE records were smashed at Terrington Hall School’s annual athletics sports day.
The record-breakers were led by Year 7 pupil Saki Kaitoga, who made school history in the under-12 100 metres, clocking 13 seconds.
Fellow Year 7 pupil Abi Watkinson won the U11 high jump with a new best mark of 1.22 metres, while Year 4 pupil Christabel Storey set a record in the U9 shot with 8.22m.
Year 4 student Georgina Webb set a new school standard in the U9 javelin, throwing 10.06m, while Year 3’s Nat Esler won the U9 shot in a record 10.67m.
Meanwhile, Terrington Hall’s U11 rounders team kicked off the season in style.
Having retained the U11 trophy at Queen Margaret’s junior tournament, they secured a resounding win at Cundall’s U11 tournament.
In the second competition, they beat Highfield ‘B’ 12 ½-7, Polam Hall 6-3, Queen Mary’s 11½-10, Gateway 22- 5 and, in the final, Bramcote 11-7½.
