ASHLEIGH HYDE bagged a hat-trick as York Ladies sealed fourth place in the Women’s Rugby League Association Winter League by defeating Fryston Warriors Ladies 28-14.
York took the lead after only three minutes as centre Hayley Gover finished in the corner, Carly Hilton converting.
Fryston hit back with two tries but York regained the lead when winger Hyde was quickest to a kick, Sam Boyes adding the extras.
Fryston scored again just before half-time to go into the break 14-12 up, but York regained the lead early in the second half as half-back Katie Langan powered over from actinghalf - and they never looked back.
Hilton off-loaded to Hyde to race over from half-way, and the same two players again combined for Hyde to complete her treble, Boyes converting both efforts. Hyde was the player of the match, with prop Hilton and Langan also impressing.
