YORK Acorn ARLC A' teams came a cropper against Silsden Park Rangers in Pennine League division three.
Silsden are embroiled in a relegation battle but have picked up form recently, beating Selby Warriors along the way, and they defeated the Blue and Golds 14-8.
Much of the amatuer rugby league programme fell to the weather. New Earswick's premier division match at Clayton, Selby's division three game at Littleborough and York Groves' division five match at Guiseley were all off due to waterlogged pitches. Heworth A's Yorkshire League division three game with Normanton A' was also postponed.
