Selby Warriors lifted the York & District Amateur Rugby League Cup for the first time after a 26-18 victory over New Earswick All Blacks at Heworth.
The match started at a quick pace with both sides unable to capitalise on mistakes made in the opening 15 minutes.

Selby scored a converted try in the first minute of the second half, but All Blacks responded with Hnesh’s second try.
Selby then took their lead to ten points with another unconverted score. New Earswick responded with two unconverted tries through centre Chris Spain and sub Joe Stearman to narrow the gap to two points with ten minutes left.
Selby sealed their first cup win with a converted try on full- time.
Spain was All Blacks’ man of the match.
