York Lokomotive ARLC go to Scarborough Pirates today needing to win by 34 points and see Thorne win at Milford to sneak into the RL Conference Yorkshire division play-offs.
Lokos’ slim hopes of reaching the knockouts were kept alive with a 12-8 victory over Rotherham Giants last week.
That game saw Liam Watling finish a length-of-the-field move involving six players and Kev Brayshaw also cross, after a jinking run by Luke Campbell, who caused problems whenever he had the ball. John Hough added both goals.
Arran Thompson, Wayne Foster, Watling, Mat Chapman and Karl Harton also impressed.
