THE entire amateur rugby league schedule was wiped out at the weekend.
York Acorn’s home game with Siddal in the National Conference premier division was postponed, as was Heworth’s proposed trip to Crosfields.
There were no games in the Pennine League or the CMS Yorkshire League either as the big freeze continued.
Fixtures in all three leagues will resume on Saturday, January 8.
Meanwhile, the rugby union Northern Divisions fixture list was also frozen out on Saturday.
A frozen Clifton Park pitch put paid to York’s derby clash with Selby in Yorkshire One, while leaders Malton and Norton’s trip to Dinnington was postponed.
Pocklington’s visit to Ripon In Yorkshire Two went the same way, along with Nestlé Rowntree’s home clash with Wibsey in Yorkshire Five.
