SELBY RUFC are aiming for a hat-trick of celebrations in the space of 15 days after sealing promotion back to Yorkshire One.
The Swans won 27-13 at Yorkshire Two leaders Doncaster Phoenix on Saturday to seal a return to the top tier of the county game.
This Saturday they travel to Twickenham for the final of the RFU Senior Vase, and then close out their season with a league game against Sheffield Medicals at Sandhill Lane the following weekend knowing a win will seal the title.
The visitors led 13-0 after only 14 minutes and were 19-6 in front at half-time.
It was 27-6 on the hour before Phoenix had the last word with a late try.
On eight minutes, Phoenix were caught offside and Josh Cruise kicked the penalty from 45 metres. Selby centre Alex Webster then charged down a kick, gathered the ball and touched down for the try under the posts, giving Cruise an easy conversion.
Another penalty from Cruise, from 47 metres, made it 13-0. On 17 minutes, Phoenix were penalised for going over the top and Cruise converted the kick.
Dan Storey then kicked two penalties to get the hosts on the scoresheet, only for Cruise to respond in kind on 37 minutes.
Cruise kicked his fifth penalty after 52 minutes and the second try came on the hour when Webster made a break and offloaded to Dan Porter, who went over in the corner for his 33rd try of the season.
Phoenix got their only try on 75 minutes through centre Andy Ellis, with Storey converting.
Pocklington finished their North One East campaign on a high as they won 37-21 at Sheffield to clinch sixth place in the table.
Pock were in the driving seat as they led 20-7 on 30 minutes thanks to two conversions and two penalties by Nick Bennett and tries by Jack Holbrough and centre Jake Bishop.
Sheffield scored converted tries either side of the break to edge in front 21-20.
In the final quarter, Pock centre Ben Rees blasted over from a close range scrum, Bennett converting.
Holbrough got his second score and Bennett rounded off the win with a try.
