INSPIRED by man of the match Frazer Land, York RI snatched a Yorkshire Four thriller 20-14 against Hornsea.
Pressed into early errors, host RI trailed 6-0. But Land crossed to reduce the deficit to a single point at half-time.
The visitors went further ahead with three more penalties, but RI shook off the triple blow when Fifi Botchway stormed over the line.
The sheer determination of Land seemed to take half the visitors’ pack over their line to score.
Baptiste Briu added the conversion to lead 17-15 and then slotted over a penalty to seal the victory.
