POCKLINGTON RUFC slipped a place down to seventh in North One East after losing 21-11 at Percy Park.
Pock turned in an improved performance but were undone by a well-drilled Tyneside outfit looking for promotion in second place.
The home side took the lead when a breakout brought them a long-range penalty after four minutes.
Pock responded well and forwards and backs combined in a cogent attack before losing the ball three yards out.
They held the position and centre Billy Hardy was on target with a penalty to level the scores.
Pock were twice held up over the home line, but Percy Park broke out to edge back in front with another penalty.
Percy Park then took the game away from Pocklington with two tries in quick succession.
First, Park saw a long penalty fall short only for the visitors to drop the ball under their own bar, and from the scrum Park nipped in for a converted try.
Then Pocklington lost a prop injured in an off the ball incident and Park took quick advantage with a try out wide to make it 18-3 at the break.
However, Pock upped their game in the second half with their young backs to the fore.
Young centre Jack Walters distinguished himself with a big tackling stint, fly-half Pete Massie was always a threat with his midfield breaks and teenage wing Matt Springett finished a good back move with a try in the corner.
Hardy also added a second penalty, but Percy Park made the game safe with their third penalty.
