A SECOND-HALF collapse consigned York RI RUFC to their first Yorkshire Four defeat in seven matches, going down 23-9 against Halifax Vandals.
RI got off to the worst possible start when a loose chipped ball was intercepted by a Vandals player to score under the posts for a 7-0 lead.
Baptiste Brui kicked three penalties to put RI 9-7 in front, but the second half was all Halifax with three penalties and a converted try.
