YORK RI lost ground on Yorkshire Four leaders Wetherby as they crashed 27-13 to Mosborough at New Lane.
The big Mosborough pack showed their dominance after only four minutes when they drove RI back 20 metres for a try to take a 7-0 lead.
The home side fought back and Baptiste Brui kicked a penalty, and Dan Coates added a try.
Mosborough responded with a try and then a wayward RI kick was intercepted for Mosborough to touch down again and take a 19-8 interval lead.
After a break by Coates, he slipped a pass to Franky Rossi who scored in the corner to make it 19-13.
However, RI conceded a penalty and ten minutes from time a home player was yellow-carded and the visitors took advantage with a try.
