THOUGH Pocklington RUFC 1st XV completed their league programme last weekend by missing out on promotion by a whisker, Pocklington Panthers still have a chance of finishing the 2006-07 season with some silverware.
The Panthers won their tenth successive game last Saturday with a 24-0 home success over Goole to finish top of Division One of the East Yorkshire Clubs Merit Table.
The Panthers are at home in the semi-final of the play-offs tomorrow against fourth-placed Driffield (kick off 3pm), while Lyndsey play Malton & Norton in the other semi.
Pocklington Under 16s round off their season against Shropshire tourists, Whitchurch, tomorrow.
