THE East Yorkshire rugby union merit table finals will be played on Sunday at Pocklington RUFC when Malton & Norton A' will face Driffield Cententarians in the Division One final (3.30pm kick-off).

That will be preceded by the Division Two final between Hessle Veterans and Beverley Bandits at 1.30 pm.

The merit tables run through the season for smaller club first teams, and bigger club second and third teams.

Division One's play-off semi-finals provided a double upset as Driffield Cents, who had finished fourth in the table, twice came from behind to snatch a 19-12 extra-time victory at table-toppers Pocklington Panthers.

In the other semi at Scunthorpe, second-placed Lindsey were beaten 12-5 by third-placed Malton & Norton A'.

In the Division Two play-offs, Hessle Veterans overcame BP Chemicals to book their place in the final, and they will meet the 2006 winners Beverley Bandits who beat Driffield Extra Centenarians.
