SELBY RUFC will be playing catch up when they travel to Redcar in Yorkshire One tomorrow (2.15pm).
The Swans are still reeling from last weekend's agonising 20-19 home defeat by Heath and desperately need two points against the division's whipping boys.
The Sandhill Laners are currently third in the table, six points adrift of second-placed Ilkley, with leaders Sandal an additional point ahead.
Victory is all the more vital as Scarborough, breathing down Selby's neck a mere point behind in fourth, are involved in the day's only other fixture, at home to Keighley.
Captain Andy Bennett said: "We need to get a win and get back on it to consolidate our position in third.
"Last week, our performance let us down against Heath.
"Next week we are away to Scarborough and we need to put a bit of distance between us and them.
"We nilled Redcar at home earlier in the season but they seem to have improved recently and we will be a bit wary. They are always a difficult proposition at their place."
Selby are without Wright Phillips and Andy Pocklington.
Malton & Norton have a free weekend.
In Yorkshire Two, fourth-placed Pocklington travel to struggling Knottingley in a game rearranged from its original date a fortnight ago.
Pock are level with Yarnbury on 20 points, two behind second-placed Skipton, who travel to basement side West Park Leeds tomorrow.
The East Yorkshire side are forced to shuffle their pack due.
Back-rower Matt Davies has returned from Loughborough University and is named in the squad, while winger Rich Morley and North Under-18s forward John Aikman keep their places after performing well following late call-ups last week.
At Percy Road, the club's Merovingians kick off at 1.45 pm against York RI, who have no first team fixture in Yorkshire Three.
There are no games in North 2 East, handing York a free weekend.
The Clifton Park club's A' team are away to Sandal, while the Extra A' side host the Wakefield club.
