WORLD champion slayer David Morris won’t let himself believe he can win the Coral UK Snooker Championship yet - but the Irishman is still in the tournament after a 6-2 win over David Gilbert.
Morris, who beat the world number one Mark Selby on Saturday, was 4-0 up before getting over the line and said: “I am not going to say I can try to win the tournament but I am still here. I want to do myself justice in the bigger matches.
“The worst case to happen is you lose. You don’t get punched in the face like a boxer. I just want to enjoy playing the big boys.”
Today’s order of play: 1pm - Joel Walker v Stuart Bingham; Robert Milkins v Graeme Dott; Neil Robertson v Peter Ebdon; Ben Woollaston v Ronnie O’Sullivan.
7pm - Ding Junhui v James Cahill; Rod Lawler v Mark Allen; Mark Davis v Joe Perry; Mark Williams v Stephen Maguire.
