YORK City chairman Matt Uggla has increased his contribution to the Supporters' Trust fundraiser for Southend United - taking the total raised by City to almost £12,000.
Bucket collections were held at York's friendlies with Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough and Sky Bet League Two outfit Doncaster Rovers over the past week - with the club raising a total of £1,914.14 for the Shrimpers' Trust Hardship Fund.
£1,013.35 was raised ahead of the Middlesbrough game, with a further £900.79 on Tuesday evening against Doncaster.

Uggla, who purchased a majority shareholding in the club alongside mother Julie-Anne last month, had initially agreed to match the money raised by the club's supporters, but has now pledged to donate £10,000 to the Fund.
Speaking on Twitter, he said: "Unreal job from the trust!
"At the end of the day we are all a community. So will top this up with 10k to support the loyal staff at the club.
"We are definitely stronger when we stand together as one. @ycfc @SUFCRootsHall friends for life.
"Can't wait for our games this year!"

Monies from the Hardship Fund will be used to pay the staff at Southend, who have gone unpaid for three to four months amid the club's ongoing crisis, should they need to access it.
The club returned to the High Court earlier this month for a winding up petition issued by HMRC, owing in the tune of £275,000 in unpaid taxes.
Highly unpopular owner Ron Martin had been granted a 42-day extension to finalise a sale, with the club due back in court on August 23.

The Supporters' Foundation at fellow Vanarama National League side Oldham Athletic have also urged supporters to donate to the Shrimpers Hardship Fund.
Southend revealed that the Fund had passed £10,000 on July 18, with City's latest donation set to double that.
