YORK-raised defender Charlie Cresswell have received an international call-up to the England under-21's side.
Cresswell has retained his position in Lee Carsley's side ahead of England under-21's trip to Luxembourg, just four months afterbeing part of the side that celebrated winning the under-21's European Championships.
Son of former York City striker Richard, Cresswell has been a regular in the Leeds United side this season, starting five of Leeds' six matches and racking up 307 minutes of competitive football.
Cresswell continues his development after a loan spell with Millwall last season, where he impressed in the Lions' first-team and overcame injuries to be rewarded with a new contract at parent club Leeds.
The young centre-back will now be involved in the England under-21's side that takes on Luxembourg at the Stade Municipal de la Ville de Differdange on Monday, September 11 (5pm).
