YORK City winger Alex Hurst has departed the club - joining Macclesfield FC on a permanent basis.
It is understood that Hurst has joined Macclesfield for an undisclosed fee, joining the Silkmen on a contract until the end-of-the-season.
Hurst departs York after making 38 appearances last season in the Vanarama National League, along with one start this season.
The 23-year-old sustained a knock in the pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday, and has found his game time limited under former manager Michael Morton, and his successor Neal Ardley.
Hurst also becomes the second player to join Macclesfield from York this month, joining City loanee Kevin Joshua in the Northern Premier League.
The versatile winger began his career in the academy of Crewe Alexandra, before joining Matlock Town after his release from the Alex.
Hurst went on to have a successful spell with Bradford (Park Avenue), and earned himself a move back into the EFL with Port Vale.
After making 21 appearances for the Valiants, Hurst made the switch to York in the Summer of 2022.
It's the first player to depart on a permanent basis under Ardley.
