YORK City Ladies will return to the LNER Community Stadium for their league fixture with Middlesbrough Women early next month.
The Minsterbelles are set to host Middlesbrough at the home of York City, York Knights and York Valkyrie on Sunday, December 3 (2pm).
The Ladies are no stranger to the LNER Community Stadium, having previously held four fixtures at the ground as recently as September.
York welcomed Leeds United Ladies to the LNER Community Stadium on Wednesday, September 6 with the visitors running out 3-1 winners in front of a bumper crowd.
City will hope to welcome a similar attendance early next month, after a battling start to the FA Women’s National League Division One North season.
The Minsterbelles currently find themselves in eighth position after securing survival on the final day of last season, accumulating seven points from their opening eight games, and being level on points with Doncaster Rovers Belles in ninth position.
The Ladies are also continuing their form in the FA Cup, after defeating Hull City Ladies 3-0 towards the end of October.
Ticketing details will be revealed in the coming weeks along with a hospitality option.
It will mean a lot to chairperson Paula Stainton, who previously said: “We are over the moon to be able to announce that York City Ladies will be playing a number of selected fixtures at the (LNER) Community Stadium again this year,
“We’re delighted to build on the success of the games we held here last season and to have the opportunity to utilise the Lionesses’ legacy as a platform to continue to grow our engagement in the community.
“These games at the LNER are an ideal way to introduce young people to become fans within the female game with free tickets for all children aged under eleven and in the comfort of our wonderful community stadium.
“It would be great to see so many of you down again at the stadium cheering on the Belles.”
