ADAM Hinshelwood has emerged as the frontrunner for the vacant York City managerial role, but would you like to see him at the Minstermen?
City parted ways with Neal Ardley yesterday lunchtime after 34 matches in charge, following a disappointing run of results that sees the club just one point above the Vanarama National League relegation zone.
Ardley won 10, drew 14 and lost 10 games during his tenure.
York entertain Wealdstone on Saturday (3pm), before facing off against fellow strugglers AFC Fylde and Kidderminster Harriers in the seven days that follows - a period likely to define their season.
But is Hinshelwood the man to take the Minstermen forward?
The 40-year-old is currently the manager of Worthing, who sit in third position in the Vanarama National League South, having won 19 of their 35 matches thus far.
He is known for his attacking style of football, and his side have had no problems finding the back of the net. Worthing have scored 269 league goals since the start of the 2021-22 season, including 77 this term.
However, they have also conceded 54 goals so far this season, the seventh-highest in the division.
