ADAM HINSHELWOOD intends to put on a show for the York City supporters in their final home match of the Vanarama National League season.
After the club announced on this morning that the North Stand had been opened to home supporters, with the East, South and West Stand all sold out, another bumper crowd is expected to be in attendance at the LNER Community Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
The visit of Woking sees Hinshelwood’s side potentially move to within touching distance of safety in the National League, should they secure three points, with the City boss eager to pack out the LNER again.
“It is [amazing], it’s down to us now to make sure that with the fans on the last home game, we put on a real display,” Hinshelwood enthused.
“One thing we want from everybody is to leave everything out there, to not get on people for making mistakes but to play with confidence which the recent performances have shown.

“We want to finish on a high and take some momentum into next season, display a good performance and put out a good result in front of our packed house
“I felt that as soon as I came into the club really, the size of it and the potential is huge.
“We can talk about it but it is down to us to fulfil it, we’ve got to embrace having a full house here and we’ve got to entertain them so that they can come back.
“It’s not something to shy away from and be afraid of, if we haven’t got the right mentality for that then you shouldn’t be playing for this club.
“I am really looking forward to working within a full house here, and I want that to be the norm.”
Hinshelwood also discussed the importance of three points, and is demanding that pressure is added to his side in order to perform to a higher standard.
Hinshelwood said: “We will do everything in our power to get three points, whether if it is enough on Saturday, that’s got to be the target.
“Woking will be looking to do the same to get themselves safe as well, so it’s not going to be given to us and we have got to perform like we have in recent weeks.
“We’ve got to demand that sort of pressure on ourselves.”
