CITY boss Gary Mills was delighted to play Father Christmas when he helped to deliver gifts to young patients in York Hospital.
Mills was joined by his players on this week’s visit to the children’s ward and welcomed the chance to spread some festive happiness.
He said: “This is something I think we should do at Christmas because it’s not nice for those kids being in hospital at this time of year and, as a football club, we have a major part to play in the community.
“I believe, as footballers, you have responsibilities off the field as well as on it and this is one of the nicest things we are able to do.
“Putting a smile on the kids’ faces by giving them presents shows that we are thinking about them and care.”
