DANIEL Parslow has become the clear leader in The Press Player of the Year standings.
The former Welsh under-21 international was tied at the top with departed midfielder Alex Lawless and fellow defender David McGurk prior to last Saturday’s 1-0 FA Trophy home defeat to Boston.
But Parslow was The Press man of the match in that game, picking up another three points towards the contest.
As our second-highest rated player, McGurk’s subsequent two points saw him stay in touch with Parslow and left-back James Meredith – our third-highest rated performer – collected the remaining point on offer.
Parslow was also awarded with the two bonus points on offer to our Player of the Month competition after polling the most man-of-the-match votes against Boston from visitors to our website.
Don’t forget to cast your man-of-the-match vote for future matches by visiting yorkpress.co.uk to be in with a chance of presenting the Player of the Month with a framed photograph on the pitch before a City home encounter.
