A RIB injury has ruled loose forward Rob Spicer out of tomorrow's Northern Rail Cup knock-out clash with Barrow at Huntington Stadium.

However, Knights coach Mick Cook is able to welcome back prop Adam Sullivan and Chris Spurr into the fold as the Knights look to bounce back from a disappointing 19-14 defeat to Hunslet a week ago.

Creation is the key for Cook, who says his side not only have to play hard for 80 minutes but also have to find the key to unlocking opposing defences.

"We defended well for long periods last week but we need to do a bit better with the ball," said Cook. "We didn't ask Hunslet too many questions and we are not getting any pressure on teams.

"Rob Spicer is out with a rib injury and that is a blow but what can you do? Rugby league is a contact sport and injuries happen. Adam Sullivan is back and he has been very consistent this year. His work has been very good.

"Chris Spurr is also back and he always plays and works very hard. I am sure we are going to get going. We have shown in patches what we can do.

"We haven't yet quite clicked together as a 17 but I am sure it is going to come."

On Barrow, Cook added: "They are a good side. They have got some great signings. They play with plenty of energy and challenge teams to defend. It's one we need to raise our game and get back to business for."
