YORK City Knights will not be live on Sky after all.
The Knights' National League Two game at Barrow was put back from the Easter Bank Holiday Monday to the Easter Tuesday so it could be televised by Sky Sports as part of their National League coverage.
However, there has been a change of plan, with Sky saying they cannot now screen the game because of "scheduling issues". The fixture has thus been moved back to Easter Monday, kick off 3pm.
It is unlikely the Knights will be given cash to compensate for inconvenience or changes to travel/hotel arrangements, or for players who had already booked time off work.
Club chairman Roger Dixon said: "We are in the hands of the broadcasters, but at least those fans who had planned to go on the Monday and perhaps make a weekend of it in the Lake District can do so."
