YORK City Knights have confirmed that player-coach Paul March suffered a broken hand in the final pre-season friendly against Leeds Rhinos Academy.
The scrum-half left the field at half-time of the 28-26 defeat at Huntington Stadium on Sunday and officials said they feared the worst.
Now an x-ray has shown a fracture in the metacarpal of March's right thumb, which could rule him out for up to six weeks.
